Equate Design Services

Equate Design Ltd provides a wide range of Electrical Design solutions to the Rail, Highways, and Building sectors.

Focussing primarily on the rail sector, we are competent in the design of Network Rail and London Underground electrification systems and conversant with their respective company standards. Equate Design provides designs at all stages ranging from Feasibility Studies, Concept Design, and Detailed Design. At every Stage, you can be sure that our qualified and experienced staff will work as a team. Roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and individuals are empowered to make technical, commercial, and managerial decisions, whenever they are needed.

Our services operate nationally across the UK. We carry all the relevant insurance, Link-Up and QA accreditations to ISO9001:2015. To carry out work on the rail network and all site staff are PTS trained.

Electrical works undertaken include:
  • Design of 750V/ 630V DC contact systems (3rd and 4th rail ETE)
  • Design of 25KV AC contact systems (OLE)
  • Design of DC traction substations and AC feeder stations
  • Design of HV feeders, associated SCADA and optical fibre cables
  • Design of electrical protection schemes for LV, HV, and DC electrical systems
  • Design of M&E and building services
  • Project Management
