To provide consultancy, scoping, and design to allow upgrades across several stations during the Barnehurst and Hither Green Blockades. This project was part of the Network Rail station upgrades which included the implementation of safety improvements such as tactile installation.
Compliant with Network Rail’s technical work scope and BCM requirements, EQUATE produced a survey specification and carried out on-site surveys to collate the information required for the design process. This included topographical, gauging, drainage and structural surveys.
Using the survey model produced, EQUATE designed the station upgrades including drainage renewals, platform resurfacing and tactile installation.
Working in collaboration with BCM and Network Rail, EQUATE ensured all designs complied with the necessary industry requirements for the relevant station upgrades. The collaborative approach enabled the design to be progressed through the interdisciplinary checks (IDC), interdisciplinary review (IDR) and client review prior to approval by Network Rail.
EQUATE also provided survey support during construction ensuring the platform works were delivered in line with the design. This included the provision of coordinated as-built surveys to allow accurate as-built drawings to be issued to the client promptly upon project completion.
In line with works delivery procedures, EQUATE produced the relevant drawings, F003 NCD submissions and associated deliverables safely and on time for approval by BCM and Network Rail.
