A comprehensive survey was undertaken, on 2No disused platforms, at the former Kings Cross Thameslink Station. The data, analysis, results and conclusions were used for feasibility studies, regarding commercial development of the site above.

In accordance with Network Rail’s Technical Work Scope, EQUATE performed Noise & Vibration surveys, under normal train operating service. CAT scan and GPR techniques were utilised to identify and record all existing services. Geospatially accurate 3D information used for sub-surface analysis. The whole site was laser scanned, and the point cloud data processed in order to derive a 3D BIM model.

EQUATE produced a detailed technical survey report, covering all aspects of the work scope. A BIM model was also produced, for presentation and future studies.
